RAM, or Random Access Memory, is a form of computer data storage, that allows the information to be read randomly without accessing the preceding bytes before that. This makes the RAM a lot quicker than other types of storage devices such as DVDs or HDDs where all the info must be read in order to access particular data. When you have a shared hosting account, the total amount of memory which your web applications can use cannot be fixed and may often rely upon the free memory which is available on the physical machine. When using a standalone server, however, there is always a minimum amount of physical memory that will be available at all times and will not be allotted to other clients even if it is not used. That's valid with our virtual and dedicated hosting servers.

Guaranteed RAM in VPS Servers

If you decide to host your sites on a VPS server acquired from our company, the amount of RAM that you will get with it shall be guaranteed and will be available constantly no matter what. The VPS accounts are set up on powerful servers and when your virtual server is set up, the RAM memory that comes with the particular plan will be "locked", so even if you use a little part of it at one point while another VPS account is using most of its resources, we won't allot the free RAM from your account even momentarily. This is valid when you upgrade the entire memory of the virtual server as well - the additional amount will be added to your existing account completely. You shall be able to upgrade either the entire plan or only the server’s RAM with several clicks in the billing Control Panel.

Guaranteed RAM in Dedicated Servers

All of our dedicated server plans feature a large amount of physical memory, which will enable you to run rather heavy web apps with no issues. We use brand-new and thoroughly tested hardware components when we build a new hosting server to make certain that there will not be any troubles of any sort. The RAM memory isn't an exception and when you order a dedicated server, we will make sure that you get the best general performance possible from the configuration that you have picked out. Even if we determine that you aren't using the total capacity of the server, we will never modify the hardware in any way, so the total amount of RAM that will be available shall always be the same. You may look at the configuration, including the physical memory, within your billing Control Panel at any time.
